On May 24, during the Cannes Film Festival, the World Bloggers Awards were held for the first time.
They were organized by City Life Media, an international group producing television programs and advertising in France.
Over 102 million people worldwide followed the event.
The aim was to reward the best influencers, taking into account every specialization, every platform and, above all, every country in the world.

A total of 200 finalist influencers gathered in Cannes for the awards ceremony, which took place at the Hotel Martinez during a gala dinner.
Among the countries represented by influencers were the United States, Brazil, Ukraine, Great Britain, India, China, Italy, France, the United Arab Emirates, etc…

The World Bloggers Awards were a success, as the president of the jury claims to have received 3,000 entries.

Influencer selection criteria were as follows:

• number of followers, activity…
• quality of content, ideas, editorial line, creativity
• the engagement rate of their community, but also the influencer’s commitment to their audience, their reactions, their honesty…

Influencers competed in a defined category.
There were 42 different categories.
These included best glamour influencer, best celebrity influencer, best food influencer, best beauty influencer, best style influencer, best haute couture influencer, best entertainment influencer, best model influencer, best technical influencer, best lifestyle influencer, best fashion business influencer, best comedy influencer, best sustainable influencer and finally King of Instagram Grand prix.
