TUI end-of-year party <3

The customer brief – Customer needs & objectives :

In December 2022, TUI approached Travel-Insight to organize their end-of-year party. The brief was clear: they wanted to organize a convivial, authentic event entirely dedicated to their employees, to thank them for their daily investment in the organization. In keeping with TUI’s image, the event had to create a wow effect, a sense of wonder, while remaining simple. The venue must contribute to this sense of wonder, with a dimension of the unusual and extraordinary, without being too flashy or stuffy. The venue also needs to be easily accessible to employees departing from the head office in Levallois Perret. The evening should also evoke a sense of travel and invite employees to disconnect.

The answer we came up with & Actions taken :

The first stage of the adventure was the choice of venue. With just a few weeks to go before the event, on a date more than eagerly awaited by a Parisian events industry that was flourishing after the Covid crisis, it was thanks to our invaluable network that we managed to book the Cirque Bormann, flamboyant, authentic, with a strong soul carried high by the Bormann Moreno family. In terms of wonder, it’s all there: an evening between ring and stands, fascinating set elements hand-created by the circus director himself, and a unique ambiance in the heart of the capital. Guests were also able to immerse themselves in this incredible universe with an aerobatic act. It didn’t take much to convince TUI!

But how to incorporate the idea of travel? The circus is also located in the 15th arrondissement, some distance from TUI’s premises. But we’ll make the most of it!

That’s why we’ve created a unique journey for TUI teamers. In the early evening, vintage buses pick them up at the foot of the office, and the expedition begins! Each bus leaves for a different destination: Lapland, Mexico, Greece or Sri Lanka. Whatever the destination, our actors slip into the shoes of TUI’s super delegates, who know their destination like the back of their hand, and make you dream right from the transfer to the party venue!

Each participant is provided with accessories to proudly represent the destination of their bus, and a game card. That’s right: they’re going to play! During their visit to these destinations, they’ll have to answer questions to try and win a trip. The champagne is flowing, and thanks to the incredible energy of the actors and the sound of the music, the atmosphere is already building on board the buses!

On arrival at Le Cirque, the journey continues: guests are filled with wonder as they enter the main tent and discover the immersion areas around the ring, representing each of the destinations. In each space, several characters welcome guests with incredible stories: in Sri Lanka, they meet two future brides and grooms who are preparing their wedding and need advice. Over tea and cushions, surrounded by wisps of incense, they advise the bride on her wedding dance. In Mexico, they are greeted by the sound of mariachis and enter a bar where the feast of the dead is in full swing!

In the heart of cold Lapland, in the glow of glowing flames, they discover a traditional Lappish tale, which is told to them according to tarot cards drawn by the participants, to the sound of the shamanic drum. Finally, in Greece, they meet the great Herakles and Ariadne, who offers them training for the Olympic Games.

The food, whose flavors also celebrated the destinations represented at the event, invited TUI employees to travel.

Travel-Insight also asked TUI to create a souvenir of this unforgettable moment: during the bus trip, participants were invited to pose for Polaroids, which were then combined to create a neon sign in TUI colors, revealed above the DJ at the dance party. TUI was able to take the souvenir back to its offices the very next morning.
Through the immersion and interactivity of the spaces, within a unique venue such as the Cirque Bormann, TUI was able to offer its employees an original and unique journey.

Following the event, 150 thank-you emails were exchanged internally at TUI.

This sublime and successful event gave rise to numerous projects between TUI and Travel-Insight.
