PR agency France tourism: get covered where French travellers actually read
France has a dense, distinctive media landscape: national travel desks, primetime TV, women's magazines and a powerful regional press. We know which outlets move bookings, and how to get your destination into them.

What does the French tourism media landscape look like?
French travel coverage runs across four channels: national newspapers and travel supplements, television, women's lifestyle magazines, and a regional press with real reach across the country.
National travel press
Newspapers and magazines such as Le Figaro, Le Parisien Week-end and GEO shape how French readers discover destinations, with dedicated travel sections and long-lead features.
Television
National broadcasters including France 2 and international channel TV5 Monde reach mass audiences with travel segments and documentaries, high-impact, high-trust coverage.
Women's and lifestyle magazines
Titles like Version Femina, Télé 7 Jours and Pleine Vie carry travel content to a loyal readership that plans trips around inspiration pieces, not search ads.
Regional press
Nice Matin and other regional titles deliver hyper-local relevance, essential for destinations targeting specific French regions or airport catchment areas.
Our method
We build relationships with journalists year-round, not just before a press trip, that's what earns coverage on tight news cycles.
- Press office run from Paris, with direct relationships across national and regional desks
- Tailored press trips and story angles matched to each outlet's audience
- Reactive pitching around news moments, not only planned campaigns
- Monthly and consolidated reporting, including advertising value equivalency (AVE)

Our press trip method, from D-90 to D+180
- D-90
Angle and media targeting
We define what journalists should be able to tell on their return, then build the media list title by title, checked against readership, editorial line and recent coverage. You approve it before any contact.
- D-60
Invitations and group confirmation
Personal invitations, phone follow-ups and a group of four to eight participants balanced between dailies, magazines, radio, TV and online media. We check each publishing commitment before confirming.
- D-30
Programme and logistics
Hour-by-hour programme, transport and accommodation, spokespeople to meet, real free time and a weather plan B. Every sequence is chosen because it feeds a publishable story.
- D-day
On-site support
An agency press officer travels with the group from departure to return, handles the unexpected, connects journalists with spokespeople and collects their image needs.
- D+15 to D+180
Coverage follow-up and report
We follow up with each participant, supply images and fact checks, then track publications for six months. You receive a report with articles, audiences and consolidated advertising value equivalency.

How we calculate advertising value equivalency and potential reach
Definition
Advertising value equivalency (AVE) estimates what it would have cost to buy advertising space of the same size or duration as the coverage obtained. Potential reach adds up the audience of the outlets that published.
Basis of calculation
For each piece of coverage we start from the outlet's public advertising rate, applied to the space used in print, the airtime on radio and TV, or the placement online. Potential reach uses the audience declared by the outlet (circulation, measured audience or reported traffic), with no multiplier.
Limits of the indicator
AVE measures the value of space, not the influence of an article on a travel decision. A potential contact is not a guaranteed reader. This is why we never report AVE on its own: it sits alongside the number of articles, their quality, the messages carried and, where measurable, leads.
The detailed calculation is included in the monthly report each client receives.

Frequently asked questions
- How do you measure the results of a press programme?
- We report coverage (print, TV, radio, online), cumulative audience and advertising value equivalency, with the calculation method stated in every report so you can check it.
- What is a press trip?
- A group trip for four to eight journalists, built around a story they can publish: programme, logistics, on-site support and six months of coverage follow-up.
- Which French media do you work with?
- National travel and lifestyle press, TV, radio, women's magazines, regional dailies and online media. The list is built for each programme and approved by you.
- How far ahead should we plan?
- Ninety days before departure for a group press trip. Individual press visits can be organised faster, depending on the journalist's deadline.
- Can you work in languages other than French?
- Yes. You brief us in English, German, Italian, Spanish or Portuguese; we work with French media in French and report to you in your language.
